The design is based on the adidas’ football positioning of “from the stadium to the streets and back again,” which epitomizes how soccer transcends into popular culture. As evident in the MLS Supporter Groups who start their walks to the stadiums and carry that vibe into the stadium. Through urban grunge design, the ball delivers an off pitch tonality with an on pitch product.
The MLS story is told through the official match ball by incorporating design elements from both participating countries - USA and Canada.
The stars, stripes and maple leaf showcase national pride and their positioning within the blocking represents togetherness.
